Description

This bottle was collected by a St. Louis beer drinker back in the 1940s and 50s. He traveled the entire country sampling beer and brought home a bottle of each to display in his garage on shelves nailed between the beams. Eventually the collection was walled up in its entirety. It was forgotten about for decades until the winter of 2006, when the new homeowner tore down the old wallboard and exposed the collection for the first time in fifty years. Aside from the thick layer of dust it was as if nothing had changed. The bottles appeared as they did in the 1950s, labels facing out, arranged by bottle color, size and shape, all capped with period (although non-matching) crowns. All in all there were over 200 exotic and obsolete brands represented from all over the world
