The Old Salmon Brewery Jacob Salmon built a small stone brewery with 30 inch walls on the bank of a ravine, making the rear two stories high for storage vaults and a log cabin for grain storage, malting and mashing. Other than the Zoar Society Brewery, Old Salmon was probably the earliest in the west. It was abandoned and raised in about 1841.
