Description

This can was test marketed in August 1955 in the Kansas City area. Earlier in that year, in March, the Busch Lager can was tested in St. Louis and Newark. The Busch Lager can was a well-worn theme, borrowing the color and style of the Budweiser can. The Bavarian can, in contrast, must have been something quite unique on the beer shelves of the Midwest. Blue sky, snow-clad mountains, ski chalets, It was an image that struck a cord with Kansas City beer drinkers and would eventually become a very popular beer worldwide.
