Wednesday, April 27, 1836   Friedrich Julius Lindstedt

Friedrich Julius "Jule" Lindstedt was born in Holstein, Prussia.  He emigrated to America in 1847 with his parents Christian and Sophia. They settled in Two Rivers, Wisconsin and became farmers.   Not much is known aboout Jule's childehood until age 28, in 1864, when he and Jule and Emma Jane Schmidt were joined in marriage. She would give him seven children over the following 18 years.

At some time before 1870 he founded - or perhaps purchased - the brewery that would become the Mishicott Brewing Company, which he ran until his death on the 3rd of March, 1884.  Upon Linstead's death it passed into the hands of John G. Scheuer.  The brewery closed in 1920 due to National Prohibition.
