- According to "Uncle Ed": "Before the area was placed on the National Register of Historic Places, most of that side of that block of S. 1st was demolished and replaced with one large building, now housing a big dance studio and a smaller MMA facility. " Unfortunately the original building no longer exists. "On a brighter note, just north of that building, at 615 S. 1st, is Portneuf Valley Brewing, a micro-brewery/restaurant, in an old building original to the area. " He goes on: "The name Idallo (obvious comination of Idaho/Pocatello) was the result of some kind of "Name That Beer" contest where the public submitted names and one was somehow selected. I have no idea if there was a prize for the winner (I would hope at least a case of beer). " Thank you Uncle Ed!
