Early history reveals activityin the ice industry, fishing, trapping, and tourism. Fishing and tourism are still synonymous with Spirit Lake along with increased interest in winter sports such as snowmobiling and cross-country skiing.
Industry has been instrumental in the area's development. This has resulted in a rapid and continuous growth.
