This series showcases the exquisite illustration by naturalist artist Pat Ford, In this first edition, a detailed center illustration brings the ruffed grouse to life, featuring both the male and female in their natural setting. Other upland game birds appear in relief around the stein. A rising pewter lid is engraved with an acorn and oak leaf design, and a pewter acorn forms the thumbrest. Never displayed, like new condition. Box is also excellent.
