Saturday, October 10, 1818 Nicholas Molter
Nicholas Molter, instrumental in founding Kelly & Baker, the first lager beer brewery in Rhode Island. Molter bought out Kelly's interest in 1868 and became sole owner in 1877. He passed on the business to his sons in 1885. Nicholas Molter died on January 12, 1896.
