Made in Germany by Villeroy & Bosch for the Anheuser-Busch Brewing Company of St. Louis, Missouri. The Stein has three panels with a PUG (print-under-glaze) line drawing of Adolphus Busch, the founder of the Anheuser-Busch Brewing Company, on the center. The rest of the stein body has engraved and raised relief decoration showing hop vines, wheat, and steins. The inlaid ceramic lid features the Anheuser-Busch logo, with the 'A' and 'Eagle'.

The bottom of the stein is marked with the Mettlach Abbey mark and the painted or stamped Mercury mark. Also impressed on the bottom is '2136' and '94' for the stein number and year, and "28".
