Texas Guinan was an actress and entrepreneur whose career and reputation as a hell-raising party girl exploded during Prohibition when she ran a nightclub in New York called the Salon Royale. Seeking to export her brand to Europe, she was denied entry to England, and her show was banned in France. She was acquitted of running a nuisance in New York and died of amoebic dysentery contracted when in Chicago performing at the 1933 Worlds Fair. Slapstick is 8½ inches long and in excellent condition.
