Gentelmen!
Enclosed find Draft of $35 which I received for rent from Mr. McKinney for the Langhelm Building for the month of September. He says that he had a verbal bargain with Mr. Langhelm that the rent should be $35 per month and he would be willing to pay that and no more.
When last month's Rent was paid I sent you the full amount coming but deducted the $5.00 from Langhelm's claim on the rent. Do you think it is worthy of using law or get along and have his good will, he is giving out anyhow? If the fare is cheap to Chicago on the 9th (Chicago Day) I may come and explain.
