John Eichler is born in Bavaria. He would in 1865 purchase Kolb's modest brewery in Morrisania and expand and develop it into a an expansive brewery complex.

Louis J. Heintz is born. He will become the original secretary of the John Eichler Brewery, and will take over management duties when John Eichler dies in 1892.

John Eichler dies in Bavaria at 62 years of age. At age 36 he founded the John Eichler Brewing Co. and grew it to be one of the largest breweries in New York.

Louis J. Heintz died suddenly while attending Grover Cleveland's Presidential inauguration. He was the manager of the John Eichler Brewery. He was 31 years of age.
