The old brewery building was torn down in the 1990s to make way for housing.  Fountain Brew Beer is once again being brewed by the Fountain City Brewing Co., Inc. operating out of the Monarch Tap Room on Main Street.  In 1997 they obtained the original recipe from the original brewery's 90-year-old assistant brewmaster Wilbert Schmitt, who was surely thrilled to enjoy once again the beer he had brewed in his youth.
