This heavy chrome ball knob measures about 1½ inches tall. The insert is plastic. The chrome housing is marked Griesedieck Brothers. This is one of two of this type of tap I've found that have sold over the last 20 years. Probably someone's fantasy piece, but maybe a prototype? Does anyone know the story? The face is a bit worn, but it looks better than in the photos.
